Which Operating System?
If you have decided to take a web hosting package, that is renting our server to put the web files of your design, the last questions is what kind of server (Operating System) you will choose to put your files on.
We provide the servers with the operating system: - FreeBSD - Linux - Windows 2008
What the differences of each other, and most important is, what do you need? Operating system is the system that operate / run a server so that it can be utilized. Without the computer OS is just an object that is not useful. The different OS shows the operation of different ways. So that a program running on an OS is not necessarily run on another OS. Unless these program made a multi-platform or there is an interpreter / translator software.
For your reference:
If you create a standard website, that is in static html based. It should be okay on any OS that were selected.
If your website running a program, then it is required to selected OS. If you are a programmer, you must have understood even before reading this page. But if you will be assisted by a person or team of programmers to create a website, you will need to discuss further with the programmer.
Does the programmer can customize a program with the selected OS, or have you choose the OS that matches with the programmers in creating a website design program.
The point is wherever and whatever OS you have selected, they are "same". We provide several options as a convenience to you. Especially if the program has already completed or being done by a particular OS, and will waste time and effort if you have to convert them to another OS.
